The MasterChef final will no longer air tonight following the death of Prince Philip.
BBC One has suspended all non-news programming for the rest of the day due to the Duke of Edinburgh’s death aged 99.
The final of the current series of MasterChef was set to air at 8.30pm on BBC One, with Mike Tomkins, Tom Rhodes and Alexina Anatole in the running for the title.
However, the schedule for the day has now been cleared for continued coverage from BBC News following the death of Prince Philip.
It is unclear when the MasterChef final will be rescheduled to.
Other shows that have been cleared from the schedule include The One Show, EastEnders and Have I Got News For You.
BBC One interrupted its broadcast of Bargain Hunt just after noon to deliver the news following Buckingham Palace’s statement.
All BBC radio stations, including Radio 1 and 1Xtra, simultaneously aired BBC Radio 4’s broadcast.
Elsewhere, This Morning was pulled from ITV to break the news, and ITV has suspended its regular programming until at least 6pm.
Buckingham Palace confirmed Prince Philip’s death just after noon in a statement reading: ‘It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
‘His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.’
Funeral details will be announced over the coming days.

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has died at the age of 99, Buckingham Palace has announced.
A statement from Buckingham Palace said: ‘It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.’
Queen Elizabeth II is now in an eight-day period of mourning following his death.
