She was repeatedly punched and kicked after the two women hit her van with their car.

The alleged thieves were supposedly after the stimulus money in the van, reports the New York Post.

But the US Law Branch of the postal service said there is “no indication” the postal worker was attacked due to stimulus checks.

A man recording the fight saw differently, according to the shocking footage posted online.

“Bro, y’all hit the mailman!” he can be heard saying. “They tryin’ to get that stimulus … this s–t is serious!”

A different bystander chimed in, saying: “Y’all going to jail.”

Detective Sgt Tyrone Booth of the Flint Police Department declined to say what motivated the violent attack.

“We heard the same thing you saw in the video,” he told reporters.

Since the hiatus, one woman was arrested, while the other suspect fled in an SUV.

Police would not release the name of the woman arrested.

This week, more than 25million stimulus checks were released by the IRS, bringing the total amount of payments so far to $372billion.

According to the Flint police, they are working with the US postal service to investigate the attack, they said in press release Friday.

Warrants for the two suspects have been given to the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police also added the postal worker had recovered and “is fine”.
