Joe Rogan is reportedly being edged off of Spotify as episodes of podcast The Joe Rogan Experience appear to be vanishing.

Chats with divisive characters including former Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos, Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes and comedian Chris D’Elia as well as many others are no longer available.

Content with questionable scientific claims also seem to have been removed such as the shock jock’s chat with Bulletproof Coffee founder Dave Asprey.

The businessman was previously criticised for pushing a high-fat diet without medical support.

Another episode which appears to have been removed from Spotify is one featuring conspiracy theorist Alex Jones after platform bosses did away with a number of episodes of Alex’s podcast Infowars in 2018, alleging it enabled hate speech.

However, an October 2020 conversation between Joe and Alex is still available.

A previously leaked memo obtained by BuzzFeed states: ‘We are not going to ban specific individuals from being guests on other people’s shows, as the show/episode complies with our content policies.’

The statement is believed to have been issued in reponse to a strike threat from Spotify staff after Joe’s move to the service in September 2020.

Last year it was announced Joe had penned an exclusive $100million (£73m) deal with Spotify to host The Joe Rogan Experience after developing an audience of more than 8.4m on YouTube in previous years.

At the time, Joe told Digital Music News: ‘There were a few episodes they didn’t want on their platform, and I was like “OK, I don’t care.”’
