The hotly-anticipated Friends reunion at HBO Max as finally finished filming.

The eagerly-awaited reunion of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer was supposed to be broadcast last summer, however, it was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But Friends fans surely won’t have to wait too much longer to see the cast of their favourite sitcom back together again as the show’s official Instagram page confirmed it’s now been shot.

‘That’s a wrap! 🎬 Could we BE anymore excited!?’ the post confirmed, alongside a picture of the set.

‘Friends: The Reunion is coming to @hbomax.’

The announcement comes just days after Perry confirmed filming had gone ahead as he posted the first picture from the set.

Perry, who played Chandler Bing, posted a picture from his make-up chair, as he looked into the mirror while a make-up artist stood beside him.

The 51-year-old captioned it: ‘Seconds before eating a makeup brush. Not to mention reuniting wth my Friends.’

The snap racked up hundreds of thousands of likes, including a nod from castmate Jennifer Aniston, however, he may have got in trouble with HBO as he later deleted the post.

On Thursday, American writer and producer Jeffrey Klarik dropped a major hint that the episode has been completed.

Taking to Twitter to update fans of the project, he penned: ‘It happened and it was everything and more @FriendsTV.’

The reunion is the first time the six original cast members have been together on screen since the final episode, which aired in May 2004.

The special has been forced back a number of times in lockdown, having been initially planned to launch in the US on HBO Max in summer 2020.
