The Baftas may be taking place virtually this year, but that doesn’t mean that the stars are cutting back on the style.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, all of tonight’s nominees will be watching the ceremony from home, with only hosts Edith Bowman and Dermot O’Leary and a handful of presenters actually present at the Royal Albert Hall.

But awards season doesn’t need a physical red carpet to give stars the opportunity to turn it out, and the glamour was as high as ever both at Albert Hall and on social media.

Priyanka Chopra, who is set to present an award tonight, mixed tradition and sex appeal with an embroidered jacket opened to reveal cleavage and a tasselled necklace.

She paired the statement top with white trousers, and of course her arm candy in the form of husband Nick Jonas.

The couple shared PDA in front of the cameras, with Nick looking dashing in a classic black tuxedo.

It seems Priyanka has a costume change in the works, though, as over on Instagram the 38-year-old wore a striking black dress with colourful butterfly detailing at the waist.

Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor opted for classic red carpet glamour, wearing an asymmetrical black gown with one full-length sleeve.

The 25-year-old paired the dress with simple earrings and wavy hair.

Cynthia Erivo always serves us drama on the red carpet, and the Baftas were no different, as she wowed in a metallic mini-dress featuring a glittering old skirt and a high-necked silver top.

The 34-year-old teamed the eye-catching look with silver jewellery and clear-strapped heels.

The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal gave menswear a twist by wearing a long coat over a white shirt, paired with matching slacks and black dress shoes.

Clara Amfo, who hosted Saturday’s opening night of the Baftas was among the first to walk the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall, looking chic in a black suit featuring a fringed blazer.

Singer Corinne Bailey Rae also arrived early, sporting a black dress decoratedwith metallic purple flowers, paired with metallic ankle boots.

Hugh Grant, Tom Hiddelston, Cynthia Erivo and Priyanka Chopra are among those who will present awards in person in London, while Rose Byrne, Andra Day, Anna Kendrick and Renee Zellweger will present awards over video link.

Prince William, the current president of Bafta, had been set to deliver a speech for the Baftas via video link, but has dropped out due to the death of his grandfather Prince Philip.

The Baftas air tonight on BBC One at 7pm.
