The Circle’s ‘Syed’ star Hashu Mohammed and Manrika Khaira talk romance rumours
The Circle stars Manrika Khaira and uncle Syed, aka Hashu Mohammed, have spilled the beans on a possible blossoming romance.
Viewers of the Channel 4 series have watched on as Hashu secretly fell for his co-star, who was busy building up an awkward relationship with catfish Felix – Natalya Plotanova – at the same time.
They met for the first time in a tense finale, with host Emma Willis questioning if they could turn their close friendship into something more.
In a candid conversation with Metro.co.uk, Manrika opened up about whether she could form a romantic bond with Hashu now that the competition has ended.
‘When I watched the show back, I realised the situation and how in depth it was,’ she said. ‘When I was in the final and Emma was dropping hints, I didn’t think anything of it.
‘Me and Hashu speak every day. Obviously, no one can meet up due to Covid at the moment, because restrictions make it difficult.
‘When people can meet up and we can do things, and we can all meet up as a team and go out together, then we’ll have to see. But for now we speak every day.’
‘My parents want me to marry him,’ she laughed.
Your parents aren’t the only ones, hun.
So could we get our first ever Circle wedding…?
Hashu, who managed to worm his way into our hearts as uncle Syed, also remained coy about where their friendship stands.
The YouTuber told us: ‘The way I was on the show, obviously that is just me, right? Pretty much the exact same thing happened on the outside.
‘Manrika didn’t actually know that I was that deep into my feelings until she watched the show. So the same pace at which the British public found out that I have fallen for Manrika, Manrika has also found out at the same pace.
‘I wish I could say we’ve built a particular bond outside the Circle but the same way I used to get nervous, and try and avoid conversations with her because they made me feel a particular type of way, it’s been a little bit like that in real life too, I can’t lie.
‘We’ve been having some amazing conversations throughout the last couple of weeks while it’s been airing.’
Shotgun an invite to their big day.
The Circle is available to watch on All4 now, with all episodes on catch up.
