Katie Waissel has said she’s ‘watching and getting ready’ after X Factor stars have come forward and blasted their treatment on Simon Cowell’s show.

A number of former contestants have spoken out about the music mogul and being managed by his record label SyCo, including Jedward who branded him ‘nothing but a bad facelift’.

Katie, who finished seventh in the seventh series of the X Factor in 2010, appeared to comment on the news on social media and hinted that she’ll also soon be breaking her silence.

‘Don’t you worry, I am right here, carefully listening, intently watching, ferociously applauding…..and, getting ready,’ she penned in a tweet posted twice.

Katie previously voiced her dislike for mentor Cheryl and in a 2015 interview called the singer ‘fake’.

The 29-year-old told Star Magazine: ‘She’s just there for the money. People think that I have this huge thing against Cheryl, and granted, I do.

‘I’m p*ssed off for various reasons. If you ask me, she is fake as s**t.

‘She can be very abrupt and rude. I don’t think she’s a very nice human.’

Katie added that whoever gets Cheryl as a coach on the 2015 series should ‘f*****g beg to get someone else as mentor.’

Last week, Jedward took a huge swipe at X Factor and Simon on social media in a series of tweets, saying that every contestant was ‘a slave to the show’.

‘The biggest regret in life was not telling the judges on X Factor to f*** off,’ the twins, named John and Edward, penned.

An X Factor spokesperson previously told Metro.co.uk in a statement: ‘Duty of care to our contestants is of the utmost importance to us.

‘We take welfare very seriously and have measures in place to ensure that they are supported.’

The X Factor is currently off-air, with confirmation it would not be returning this year after going on hiatus in 2020 following two spin-offs, X Factor: Celebrity and X Factor: The Band, in 2019.
