Bridgerton renewed for seasons 3 and 4 after huge Netflix success
Netflix has confirmed Bridgerton will be returning for season 3 and season 4.
The acclaimed period drama starring Rege-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynovor was already been renewed for a second chapter in January after smashing viewing figures.
The streaming giant announced that there’s even more to come from the Shonda Rhimes show and shared the exciting news on Twitter.
‘BREAKING NEWS FROM THE TON,’ they posted. ‘Bridgerton is returning for seasons three *AND* four!’
Creator Chris Van Dusen also celebrated its renewal: ‘More #Bridgerton love coming to this room soon! Renewed for Seasons 3 AND 4! I’ve poured every ounce of myself into creating this show and the way the world continues to embrace it continues to AMAZE ME. Thank you @netflix.’
A date has yet to be announced for season two, but if producers follow the same pattern, we may have another binge-worthy boxset to delve into during the festive period.
It was recently announced last week Page will not return for the second series of Bridgerton.
Producer Chris Van Dusen previously teased: ‘Season two we’re really going to be with the eldest Bridgerton brother. We left him at the end of the first season in a bit of a crossroads so I’m looking forward to jumping in and discovering how he fares on the marriage market.’
