Britney Spears is ‘flattered’ that the world is ‘concerned with her life’ as she shares ‘unseen’ video
Britney Spears has revealed she is flattered that her fans are ‘concerned with her life’ as she shared another cryptic video.
The singer, 39, took to Instagram to share a video of her staring into the camera while striking poses as a song played in the background.
She wrote alongside it: ‘So this video for Just a Touch of Rose was shot last year … these specific takes have never been seen so it’s sort of new to me!!!! I have over 10 minutes of video for the Rose project and trust me that’s A LOT!!!!’
Britney did not explain what ‘a Touch of Rose’ signified, but added: ‘Happy to share especially with a world that is empathetic and concerned with my life…
‘What can I say I’m FLATTERED!!! Here’s to another beautiful summer of popsicles and sunbathing.’
The Toxic star’s comments come following the release of the documentary, Framing Britney Spears, which focused on the star’s conservatorship.
Fans have been looking for clues from the singer via her social media accounts as they campaign to get her removed from the order, which has been in place since 2008.
Britney’s legal team have also filed to stop her father, Jamie Spears, from having control over her finances and personal life, with Britney asking for care professional Jo Montgomery – who had filled in for Jamie when he stepped down from the role in September 2019 due to ill health – to take over the role as conservator permanently.
The singer has also reserved the right to request an end to the conservatorship in future if she decides to.
Britney also spoke out after the documentary aired to say she was ’embarrassed’ by how she was portrayed.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘My life has always been very speculated … watched … and judged really my whole life!!! For my sanity I need to dance to @iamstevent every night of my life to feel wild and human and alive!!!
‘I have been exposed my whole life performing in front of people!!! It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability cause I’ve always been so judged… insulted… and embarrassed by the media… and I still am till this day!!!
‘As the world keeps on turning and life goes on we still remain so fragile and sensitive as people!!! I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in … I cried for two weeks and well …. I still cry sometimes!!!!’
