Kim Kardashian and WHO team up to make social distancing more fun with #PlayApartTogether campaign
Kim Kardashian is trying to her bit to help make life a bit more entertaining for those who are having to stay isolated amid the ongoing pandemic.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has joined in with the World Health Organization’s Play Apart Together which encourages gamers everywhere to follow World Health Organization (WHO) health advice.
For those who don’t remember, the star has one of the most popular mobile phone video games around after the successful launch of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood in 2014.
Now, users of the game will be able to get special rewards in the game for choosing to follow the WHO guidelines.
The KKW beauty mogul announced the news on Twitter as she wrote: ‘Proud to support the @WHO by offering special rewards in my game! You can participate in the #PlayApartTogether campaign by playing Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.
‘Mental health is so important right now and you can be creative while staying home.’
As part of #PlayApartTogether, a large number of gaming companies agreed to share evidence-based health messages from WHO to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
To promote these messages, hundreds of game industry leaders have encouraged their vast network of users to follow the WHO’s health guidelines.
The hashtag has been seen by gamers around the world, during the pandemic, in countries including Finland, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, the Netherlands, Russia, UK and the USA.
