Sir Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl have dropped a surprise new pandemic song they cooked up together in lockdown that everyone will relate to after the past year.

The track, called Eazy Sleazy, has been described as a ‘deliciously dark’, humourous take on how we have all had to adapt to a new normal over the last year.

Rolling Stones star Sir Mick, with powerhouse bass, drums and guitar from the Foo Fighters frontman, touches on lockdown life from ‘Zoom calls’ to having to stay at home ‘in these prison walls’.

The infectious track is typical Jagger swagger, as he rocks out with his guitar belting out its tongue in cheek, satirical lyrics about watching too much TV.

The rock icon also looks ahead hopefully to a world after lockdown and the ‘garden of earthly delights’ beyond it.

A performance clip was unveiled on Tuesday April 13 featuring both Mick from his home with Dave performing inside the Foo Fighters Studio.

Sir Mick said of their number: ‘It’s a song that I wrote about coming out of lockdown, with some much needed optimism.

‘Thanks to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass and guitar, it was a lot of fun working with him. – hope you all enjoy Eazy Sleazy.’

Singer Dave was honoured to have jammed with Sir Mick, adding: ‘It’s hard to put into words what recording this song with Sir Mick means to me. It’s beyond a dream come true. Just when I thought life couldn’t get any crazier……and it’s the song of the summer, without a doubt!’
