Chris Hemsworth took time out from thunder throwing and lightning summoning on Thor: Love and Thunder to share a playful moment with his young son.

The actor posted a video on Instagram of a lovely moment between him and his son as they mucked about in the sunshine.

His son was clearly inspired by his Avengers star dad and was dressed in a lovely homemade superhero costume of his own, made up of a red cape, a blue T-shirt with a gold sash, blue trousers and sandals.

The father and son duo playfully sparred with each other on set with Chris rocking what appeared to be his long blonde Thor wig, effortlessly blocking his child’s quick punches.

Chris had his impressive muscles on show in a long grey tank top, which he wore with black shorts and trainers.

In the caption he wrote: ‘Introducing the next heavy weight champion of the universe.’

His wife Elsa Pataky also posted a sweet snap of him with his son standing proudly on the steps of his trailer, matching his pose with his arms folded and looking tough alongside his personal trainer Luke Zocchi and his stunt double.

She added the message: ‘The A Team!’

The couple are parents to sons Tristan and Sasha and daughter India.

Filming on Taika Waititi’s sequel has been taking place in Sydney with Matt Damon, who is making his return as Fake Loki, and Chris’ brother Luke as Fake Thor, recently seen on set.

Matt, Luke, and Sam appeared in the third Thor movie, when the god of thunder was stunned to return home to Asgard to find a play being performed about Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) death and a huge statue of his brother having been erected

Also on set were Melissa McCarthy and Sam Neill, playing Fake Hera and Fake Odin respectively. The roles were played by Cate Blanchett and Sir Anthony Hopkins in Thor: Ragnarok.

The film, which is set for release in 2022, has a completely stellar cast, with previous set shots showing actor Chris chatting away to Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt as the Guardians of the Galaxy look set for an appearance.

Christian Bale is also set to star as Gorr the God Butcher, Natalie Portman will return as Jane Foster, and Tessa Thompson will reprise her role as Valkyrie.
