What the bloody?! The Circle’s ‘Syed’ star Hashu launches merch collection and we need it all
The Circle breakout star Hashu Mohammed, aka beloved uncle Syed, has launched a merch collection, and we need it all.
The YouTuber catfished his way into all our hearts with his stint as restaurant owner Syed, with his epic catchphrase, ‘what the bloody?!’
And now he has dropped some ‘sexy merch’ following his time on the show.
Taking to Twitter, the 28-year-old blessed us with snaps of mugs, hoodies, jumpers and t-shirts with the phrase, and a cartoon of uncle Syed.
Giving us a glimpse of the range, he penned: ‘WHAT THE BLOODY?! It’s gonna be the sexy merch releasing for everybody!
‘Head over to http://smashbengali.store to grab yours now.
‘If you do make a purchase, I’d love for you to upload it with #whatthebloody so I can retweet! Massive love #TheCircle.’
Fans couldn’t get over Hashu’s latest venture, flooding his replies with praise – and some orders.
‘Yes bruv I am looking forward to receiving my order #thankyouuncle,’ one commented.
A Twitter user agreed: ‘Defo buying a hoody and mug on payday!’
‘I can just HEAR this merch rn it’s bloody amazing,’ a follower replied.
As another added: ‘Awesome mate!!!You and Andy absolutely smashed the circle!!
‘Fair play to both of you.’
The Circle series three came to an end last week, with Hashu coming fourth in a tense final which saw fellow catfish Natalya Platonova, aka paratrooper Felix, taking home the £100,000 prize money.
While he didn’t win the jackpot, he did come away from the infamous block of flats with some friends for life – and a possible girlfriend in Manrika Khaira.
Hashu built up a bond with his co-star throughout their time on the show, and confessed his true feelings to the camera on multiple occasions – but could never act on his feelings as he was meant to be playing the game as his elderly uncle.
Chatting to Metro.co.uk after the finale, he spilled the beans on where they stand now.
‘The way I was on the show, obviously that is just me, right? Pretty much the exact same thing happened on the outside,’ he told us.
‘Manrika didn’t actually know that I was that deep into my feelings until she watched the show. So the same pace at which the British public found out that I have fallen for Manrika, Manrika has also found out at the same pace.
‘I wish I could say we’ve built a particular bond outside the Circle but the same way I used to get nervous, and try and avoid conversations with her because they made me feel a particular type of way, it’s been a little bit like that in real life too, I can’t lie.
‘We’ve been having some amazing conversations throughout the last couple of weeks while it’s been airing.’
The Circle is available to watch on All4 now, with all episodes on catch up.
