Two years before The Bachelor’s Colton Underwood came out as gay on Good Morning America, comedian Billy Eichner predicted it would happen.

During the former NFL player’s season in 2019, Billy was called in as a celebrity guest to help run ‘Camp Bachelor’ – during which he stated Colton could be ‘the first gay Bachelor’.

The group date saw the pair talk about Colton’s virginity at the time, while led Billy to make his rather accurate predictions.

He quipped: ‘I’m gay. I know that’s a shock, Colton. That, I think, you should look into.

‘Maybe you’re the first gay Bachelor and we don’t even know.’Put that in your promo. See you later.’

The best part, ABC actually did put it in the promo.

After Colton made headlines on Wednesday by coming out as a gay men, fans immediately began to unearth the clip and share jokes about Billy’s accurate prediction.

One wrote, ‘Well… @BillyEichner knew it all along’, while another added: ‘this * did* age well.’

Billy retweeted the clip and congratulated Colton, as he wrote: ‘I’m happy for @colton . If you’re gay, be gay! I’ve been gay forever & I love it!’.

He then added: ‘Here’s how Hollywood works: Colton’s gonna get a GLAAD Award before I do [laughing emoji]’.

Time will tell if that prediction will come true as well.

Meanwhile, other stars and Bachelor Nation alums also took to social media to congratulate Colton for speaking his truth.
