Dan Hooker Reveals Bizarre Reason Behind Conor McGregor Pulling Out of Justin Gaethje Fight

The UFC will start hosting its full-crowded events from UFC 261 onwards. Fans are expecting some glorious fights for the upcoming event, which will be hosted with a full capacity crowd. One such match is Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier. Both the fighters will meet in a trilogy fight in Las Vegas. Fans are already buzzing about ‘The Notorious’ as he is again making the news with one or the other controversy.

UFC Lightweight Dan Hooker joined Submission Radio, where he shared an unheard story with Kacper Rosolowski and Denis Shkuratov. He talks about why McGregor never fought Justin Gaethje, as they were very close to signing a contract with each other.

Dan Hooker says, “Justin Gaethje was like this close to getting that fight across the line. Like this close to getting that sign. And then he said something about Conor being a bad husband. Conor pulls out and then turns around and fights Dustin it makes complete sense to me why would he change Justin Gaethje’s life. Why would he make Justin a multimillion year if he’s saying that he is a bad husband?”

Dan Hooker says Conor McGregor is bigger than a title fight

‘Hangman’ thinks McGregor doesn’t like to fight people who disrespect him as being a star. Conor could change their lives forever. Therefore, he doesn’t want to hand favors to those who don’t respect the former double champ. Hooker also pointed out the fact that McGregor is still the money fight, as he still has the power to dictate the pace of a fighting agreement on his own terms.

Michael Chandler is fighting Charles Oliveira for the Lightweight title. And then he offers to fight Conor instead of that shows you the power. That shows you then and there, you get more money still to this day for fighting Conor McGregor than for fighting for a title”.

Chandler has made his intentions clear about fighting Conor McGregor after winning the title bout against Charles Oliveira. Chandler has already spoken that “ I am not here for a long time. I am here for a good time”. A fight with ‘The Notorious’ will definitely provide a big-time paycheck and will make the good times roll for Michael Chandler.
