George Clooney is reuniting with his ER castmates for a special Earth Day episode.

The Dr Doug Ross actor is set to make a comeback to the medical drama to raise awareness for Waterkeeper Alliance, an organisation that works to ensure every community worldwide has drinkable, fishable and swimmable water.

Gloria Reuben, who starred as physician assistant Jeanie Boulet on the show serves as the President of Waterkeeper Alliance and will be joined by fellow actors Julianna Margulies and Noah Wyle, who played Nurse Carol Hathaway and John Carter.

The reunion episode will air on People’s social media platforms and will also stream on the Stars In The House YouTube channel.

Fans will be able to donate funds to the charity as well as ask questions about the show.

‘I am absolutely thrilled to be reuniting with my ER family for a cause that is so close to my heart, and so grateful to Seth and James for allowing us to use their incredible platform to do so,’ Reuben enthused.

‘I’ve been involved with Waterkeeper Alliance for 15 years, representing over 350 community-based Waterkeepers around the globe, and the work that they do is beyond comparison.’

She added: ‘We must continue to fight for clean water not just on Earth Day, but all year round.’

Laura Innes, Anthony Edwards, Alex Kingston and Goran Visnjic will also be joining the reunion.

ET first aired in 1994 and followed the lives of nurses and doctors at Chicago’s County General Hospital.

The show came to an end in 2009 with a total of 331 episodes and 15 seasons under its belt.
