Katie Price has implored Sarah Harding to get in touch with her as the singer continues to receive cancer treatment.

On Wednesday’s edition of Steph’s Packed Lunch, Katie, 42, spoke to host Steph McGovern about how ‘gutted’ she felt following the news of Big Brother star Nikki Grahame’s death at the age of 38, who she knew ‘for years’.

Describing the reality star as ‘so funny’, Katie emphasised the importance of looking out ‘for loved ones and people around you’ during the pandemic, stating: ‘I’ve lost so many people, not just to Covid, this year.’

‘One of my friends got murdered, she was from Brighton and owned a restaurant. We’ve lost two people due to Covid, now I’ve lost Nikki,’ she said, before mentioning former Girls Aloud band member Sarah, who was a bridesmaid at her wedding.

In August 2020, Sarah, 39, shared a statement revealing that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, which had spread to other parts of her body.

Katie explained that she has tried to get in contact with Sarah, but acknowledged that she’s likely ‘got her network of people’ around her at the moment.

‘I’ve tried to… you know you lose touch with people through the years for various reasons. And I’ve even left her an Instagram message to get in contact. But she’s not in a good place now, so she’s probably got her network of people,’ Katie told Steph.

‘But it’d be nice just to go through memories, happy memories, not to be all doom and gloom. So like if Sarah’s watching, get in contact, I would love to see you too. It’s just a cruel world sometimes. Cruel things happen to such good people.’

In an excerpt from Sarah’s book Hear Me Out released in March this year, the singer said that in December, her doctor informed her ‘that the upcoming Christmas would probably be my last’.

‘I’m trying to live and enjoy every second of my life, however long it might be,’ she wrote.

In another excerpt from the autobiography, the musician said that MRI scans that she had at the end of December 2020 ‘revealed that the tumours in my brain and in my lung have shrunk a bit with the treatment’.

During Katie’s appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch, the TV personality revealed that on the day she found out that Nikki had died, she discovered that the Big Brother star had left her a voice message on Instagram.

‘I’m not going to say what was in the message because I still respect what she said. She was saying. “I know you’re here a lot, come and see me. I really want to see you.” And I never heard it,’ Katie said, explaining that she’d been going to hospital to receive treatment after breaking both of her feet.

‘If I did, of course I would have gone to see her, but I didn’t know that every week I was passing the same place as her. I’m really gutted about it.’

Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays at 12.30pm on Channel 4.
