WWE reveals salaries for Vince McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon
WWE has revealed salary and compensation for Vince McMahon and other top executives.
In a new SEC filing released ahead of its annual stockholder’s meeting next month, the company has detailed earnings for the chairman, as well as his daughter Stephanie McMahon, son-in-law Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and president Nick Khan.
The filing includes the salaries for 2021, and the firm noted these haven’t been increased from 2020 in light of the pandemic.
They confirmed: ‘As part of our continuing effort to manage our fixed costs responsibly, we generally attempt to limit salary increases, restricting material increases to instances of promotions or extraordinary contributions to the Company’s performance.
‘In respect of 2021, we did not grant any salary increases to our named executive officers.’
Vince – who serves as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer – has a salary of $1.4m, while Khan (President & Chief Revenue Officer) will pull in $1.2m.
Meanwhile, Stephanie (Chief Brand Officer) and Triple H (EVP, Global Talent Strategy & Development) both have salaries of $730,000.
The filing also lists totals for 2020, which include salary, stock awards, non-equity incentive plan compensation, and other compensation.
These are as follows:
- Vince McMahon: $3,905,792
- Nick Khan: $12,964,565 (Including $5m sign-on bonus and $6,799,138 in stock awards after joining in August 2020)
- Stephanie McMahon: $2,187,266
- Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque: $2,318,280
And the filing includes ‘booking agreements’ for both Stephanie and Triple H as performers.
The latter reads: ‘We have a booking agreement with Mr. Levesque which currently runs until March 30, 2022, and thereafter extends for successive one-year periods unless either party gives notice of nonextension at least 90 days prior to the expiration date.
‘Under this agreement, Mr. Levesque is entitled to a minimum guaranteed annual payment of $1 million which the Company is entitled to recoup from all payments under the agreement including pay for performing in live and televised events and royalties for merchandise sold utilizing Mr. Levesque’s name and/or likeness.’
Stephanie’s is almost identical, with the names changed and her annual payment coming at $750,000, while the agreement currently runs until October 6, 2021.
Her brother Shane McMahon also featured in the filing, albeit as a performer.
The note reads: ‘In 2020, Shane McMahon was retained as a performer for the Company for which he received minimum guaranteed performance fees and royalties aggregating approximately $820,369.’
