I Can See Your Voice judge Jimmy Carr has teased at what was left ‘on the cutting room floor’, saying that he reckons most of what he said ‘can’t be broadcast’.

Last Saturday night, BBC launched a new music game show called I Can See Your Voice, which involves a panel of judges having to try and guess which of the contestants are good singers and which can’t hold a note without hearing their voice.

Jimmy stars on the programme alongside fellow judges Alison Hammond and Amanda Holden, in addition to Top Gear’s Paddy McGuinness as the presenter.

On Thursday evening, Jimmy appeared on The One Show with Alex Jones and Rylan Clark-Neal to give viewers an insight on what it’s like working on the show.

The comedian joked that there may not be ‘much of me in it’, due to him, Alison and Amanda getting up to mischief on set.

‘I’m not sure there’ll be much of me in it, because it’s me and Alison Hammond and Amanda, and we were… I mean we had a brilliant laugh doing it, but I imagine most of it’s on the cutting room floor. They can’t broadcast that!’ he stated.

‘That’s what we heard!’ Rylan responded, bursting into laughter.

When I Can See Your Voice launched on Saturday night, viewers were left absolutely baffled by the show, with several expressing that they weren’t quite sure how they felt about it.

One viewer was very descriptive when summing up their thoughts on Twitter, writing: ‘This #icanseeyourvoice thing is astonishing. It’s not even car-crash telly, it’s like a milk float crashing into a giraffe.’

‘#icanseeyourvoice I wanted to hate it but I bloody love it,’ another admitted.

One singer on the series left the judges absolutely stumped when he astounded them with his stunning voice, performing an impressive rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s Dancing in the Dark.

After his performance, Emmo – a professional singer from Ireland – revealed that Westlife’s Brian McFadden is his cousin.

None of the judges initially believed that Emmo would turn out to be a good singer, which just goes to show that there’s more to people than meets the eye!

The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One and I Can See Your Voice airs on Saturday at 7.35pm on BBC One.
