ITV Racing brings the best live action from Newmarket and Cheltenham today, and it’s the big 2000 Guineas trial on the Rowley Mile.

CAIRN ISLAND goes from the front and those tactics can pay. He took a good race at York over this trip last year.
Creative Force won his maiden here and Charlie Appleby has been patient with him. Rohaan is out wide but the booking of Ryan Moore is eyecatching.

Andrew Balding is going well and his KINGSOFTHEMIDLANDS is bred for this sort of trip and is the only Derby entry in the field.
Ironside and Valiant Prince are bred to be stars and should run well especially if the market speaks.

OXTED is a short price but has proven Group 1 quality over this trip. He won a similar race to this before his July Cup success and good ground suits.
Summerghand is reliable and won on AW finals day at Lingfield so can chase him home. Exalted Angel was just a head behind there and can hit the frame again.

DEVILWALA was a cracking fourth in the Dewhurst here last season. He wasn’t stopping at the end of 7f there and looks a proper miler in the making. Forget his Breeders’ Cup run when he had no chance from a bad draw.
William Buick has picked Master Of The Seas and he’s another to have gone well at Group 1 level. He was below par in Dubai this sprint but will be fitter now.
Stablemate La Barrosa won a Group 3 here last term and is respected. Khartoum had lots in hand when winning a Curragh maiden and is sure to improve.
Cheltenham

SCHOLASTIC is on a fair weight after a Fairyhouse third in a Grade 2. There’s more to come.
Fiveandtwenty is out quick after running a cracker at Aintree and is a threat.

EGLANTINE DU SEUIL is becoming very well handicapped. He has been dropped 3lb after a fair run at the Cheltenham Festival and his rider’s claim helps too.
Sexy Lot is flying and won well at Haydock. She has a chance despite a 5lb rise for her Haydock win.
