Ashley Cain’s girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee has revealed their daughter Azaylia has eaten solid food for the first time in two weeks after helping herself to some of her mum’s dinner.

Safiyya posted videos of the family spending time with Azaylia, who was given just days to live by doctors, and revealed the tot was still fighting and even eating by herself after being tube-fed.

She shared a video of Azaylia eating some broccoli, before tucking into her mum’s green beans, too.

Safiyya told her followers: ‘We have Azaylia’s lovely grandma here and she has just made some dinner for me and look who’s eating her greens?

‘Grandma made Azaylia her greens. Your grandma is the best, isn’t she? Yes, she is.’

The delicious veg soon had Azaylia ready for a nap, as Safiyya shared another video of the baby snoozing with a green bean in her hand, saying: ‘Azaylia, what have you done – you’ve got broccoli in your eyes, in your nose, round your mouth.

‘You’ve got pasta sauce over your Babygro, but look what you’ve kept hold of – your green bean.’

She added in the caption: ‘She has just had so much fun with my dinner and it’s the first time she’s eaten in about two weeks. She amazes me.’

Ashley and Safiyya have been looking after Azaylia at home since she was discharged from hospital in order to give her the best final days possible.

The family have had to make regular visits back to the hospital for platelet transfusions after Azayzlia suffered bleeding from her nose and even in her tears due to her leukaemia stopping her blood clotting normally.

The couple had fundraised over £1.5million for Azaylia to have specialist treatment for a year in Singapore, but the trip and the treatment was no longer possible after her condition worsened and more tumours were found.
