Chrissy Teigen returns to Twitter just three weeks after deleting her account: ‘It feels terrible to silence yourself’
Good news Chrissy Teigen fans – the star is back on Twitter.
Three weeks after the social media favorite decided to delete her account, the model made her surprise return to the platform on Friday.
Chrissy, 35, explained that she hadn’t enjoyed silencing herself online as she tweeted:’ ‘turns out it feels TERRIBLE to silence yourself and also no longer enjoy belly chuckles randomly throughout the day and also lose like 2000 friends at once lol.’
She added: ‘I choose to take the bad with the good!!’
When asked how she had been entertaining herself in the meantime, the Lipsync Battle star joked: ‘I’ve spent weeks just saying tweets to shampoo bottles’.
The cookbook author quit Twitter on March 25 after being left ‘deeply bruised’ by ‘negativity on the platform.
Announcing her departure from Twitter in a thread, Chrissy told fans it was ‘time to say goodbye’.
She added that she had ‘killed herself’ over mistakes on social media and urged her followers to ‘never forget that your words matter’.
Chrissy is known for her colorful social media presence and has often shared intimate details of her life with her millions of followers, such as the details about the loss of her and husband John Legend’s baby during her pregnancy.
As a firm Twitter favorite, she boasts more than 13million followers thanks to her sassy clapbacks and epic take-downs.
At one point, she even had President Joe Biden among her millions of fans, before she begged him to unfollow.
