Epic Games Store Offers Five Free Games for the Month of April

Every Thursday, the Epic Games store makes some games free for their customers to play. This week we have a trio of games which includes Deponia: The Complete Journey, The Pillars of Earth, and The First Tree. Previously, we have seen games like Grand Theft Auto 5 and The Arkham Trilogy.

Upcoming free games on Epic Games store

Deponia: The Complete Journey has three separate installments. This includes the original game alongside Chaos on Deponia and Goodbye Deponia. It follows the life of the comedic animated character Rufus as he attempts to escape his home planet. During the journey, he experiences the lesson of love and loss. This point-and-click adventure is sure to keep you glued to your screen this week.

Ken Follet’s The Pillars of Earth is based on a best-selling novel that goes by the same name. The game depicts the state of war and poverty that existed in England in the 12th Century. Ken tells the story in video game form across 21 playable chapters. Daedalic Entertainment has developed The Pillars of Earth, which features a point-and-click system. Interestingly, these are the same developers responsible for Deponia.

Lastly, this week players can enjoy the exploration game called The First Tree. This third-person game is centered around two parallel storylines. First, a fox exploring the world trying to find its family. Second, the story of a son reconnecting with his long-lost father in Alaska. The game is extremely well narrated, relaxing, and features some of the most beautiful visuals.

These games will be available for free right up to April 22. Once purchased for free, you can keep these in your library forever. Starting 22nd April the Epic Games store will award us two more free games. These are Alien: Isolation and Hand of Fate 2.

While these are not the best-selling games in each genre, Epic has provided a good variety of games. This way they have ensured that everyone has a game to play and none of their customers feel left out.
