Evander Holyfield Not Counting Out Mike Tyson Fight – Previews Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua
Relying on the ongoing scenario, Evander Holyfield may not fight Mike Tyson anytime soon. Instead, he is expected to return against Tyson’s last opponent, Kevin McBride, in an exhibition clash. However, he is open to facing his former opponent and seems optimistic about bagging the trilogy.
The 58-year-old, Holyfield, still has a perfect fighting shape and is currently looking for a way to return to action. The former heavyweight champion connected with ESNews and talked about several things, including the recent developments in his own fight camp.
“Well, you know didn’t have that to do and you know I am just working out, and then, I am staying in shape. Everybody’s talking about exhibitions, so I said why not? If you all care of yourself then the thing is that you should know what you can do and what you should do,” said ‘The Real Deal’.
While the interviewer asked him about possibly fighting Mike Tyson somewhere down the line, he replied. “It may, never count nothing out.”
Meanwhile, ‘Iron’ Mike had also agreed to the matchup a few days back. He even prescribed May 29 as the official date for his return against Evander Holyfield. However, it fell through following ‘Iron’ Mike’s dispute with Triller. Following Tyson’s comeback against Roy Jones Jr, Holyfield is seemingly staging his own return to set up a trilogy.

Holyfield also has his eyes on the modern era boxers, and he previewed the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua bout.

Evander Holyfield on Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua
Unlike several other boxers and analysts, Holyfield hasn’t favored one champion in the mix. He has previewed the fight to be in both the men’s favor and has envisioned a close-collision in the nearing heavyweight title unification fight.
‘The Real Deal’ said, “It can go either way, you how Joshua he was (has) a gold medal, Tyson Fury. He lose nothing, because he lost no fights. He can fight, he looks different, but he can fight.”
He added, “When I look at Anthony Joshua, he got the knockout power, but you got to hit the guy.”
While both sides have reportedly signed the contracts, the heavyweight battle is still without an official date. Unified champion Joshua. and WBC champion Fury, will put all the heavyweight belts on the line. Already the fight seems to have split the combat world into two halves, and Holyfield opted to sit on the fence. What did you make of his comments?
