‘It Will Be a Devastating Knockout’ – Coach Dewey Cooper Predicts Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou

The UFC heavyweight championship of the world recently changed hands. The Stipe Miocic era ended, and now the Francis Ngannou era is here. ‘The Predator’ beat Miocic to get his hands on the belt in devastating fashion, knocking him out in the second round.

His coach, Dewey Cooper, appeared in an interview with RT Sport MMA to talk about his champion. He seemed very happy with the way his student was doing and addressed a potential fight with the former UFC light heavyweight champion of the world, Jon Jones.

The reporter asked him for a prediction for the fight, and Cooper was very forthcoming. “You know how I see the fight going. I see him beating everybody,” he said.

He also added that Ngannou would beat anybody in the octagon. Cooper said, “I see Francis Ngannou beating everybody in a mixed martial arts fight, anyone that gets in that cage with him right now… He has a lot of weapons he hasn’t even shown the world yet.

Cooper mentioned how the journalists of the world doubted Ngannou’s skills, like his patience and wrestling. However, he couldn’t display those skills because he didn’t face a good fighter. Ngannou’s last four fights coming into the Miocic fight didn’t last more than one round, combined.

The Cameroonian knocked them all out in the first round. Junior Dos Santos was the only one who lasted over a minute against ‘The Predator’. When the reporter asked him about a prediction for the fight, Cooper’s answer was obvious.

The coach replied, Maybe Jon Jones is the perfect adversary that will have Francis show even more greatness than what he showed against Stipe in the second fight…When you’re talking about Francis Ngannou, most of the time, through victory, it will be a devastating knockout,” he said.

Ngannou’s coach has helped him become the world-class athlete he is, and he’ll only get better from here as the defending champion.
