Katie Price has been banned from driving for another six months in what she claims is an admin error, the same week her last ban ended.

The 42-year-old was hit with a two-year driving ban in October 2019 for withholding the identity of the driver of her pink Range Rover during a crash in Bexley in November 2018, with the ban later being reduced to 18 months on appeal.

The ban ended on Tuesday, but Katie was ‘horrified’ to be told that she had to serve a further six months due to a previous totting up offence for speeding.

The mother-of-five discovered the new ban when she rang the DVLA to arrange a new license to be sent to her.

According to The Sun, Katie believes that forms she needed to fill out following a speeding conviction was sent to an old address, leading to the error.

A source said: ‘She should be driving next week, she hopes.

‘She’s made mistakes but this genuinely is an admin error. Katie has done her time.’

A rep for Katie said: ‘Indeed Katie was to receive her licence this week – however on speaking to the DVLA was informed a further time was yet to be honoured due to an admin error in holding an incorrect address for Miss Price.

‘Miss Price is appealing and expects to be driving once this matter has been cleared up.’

The DVLA does not issue comment on individual cases.

This is the latest in a long line of headaches for Katie with regards to driving, with the star having been banned for driving six times in total.

She was banned for six months in 2010 after she was caught on speed camera travelling at 83mph in a 70mph zone on the A23 in December 2009, before being banned from driving for a year after failing to respond to two speeding tickets in 2012.

In 2018, she was banned from driving for six months for speeding, having already had points on her license, and the following year, she was banned again for three months for driving while disqualified and not having third party insurance.

The same year, she was given a three-month ban after being convicted of being nearly twice the drinking limit while in charge of her pink Range Rover, although was found not guilty of a separate charge of drink driving.

Her two-year ban was issued in October that year.

Just weeks before this ban was due to end, police confirmed they would not be looking further into reports that Katie broke the terms of her ban after allegedly being seen driving her Volkswagen Beetle from her Sussex mansion to her rental home in Surrey.

A police spokesperson said: ’We received a report of a 42-year-old woman allegedly driving while disqualified around 2.10pm on Friday (19 March).

‘The incident is believed to have taken place during the afternoon last Monday (15 March) in Ashtead.

‘The information has been reviewed, and given that it is hearsay evidence, it would be disproportionate to take any further action.’

Metro.co.uk has approached Price’s rep for further comment.
