Helen McCrory has proven what an absolute queen she was as she presented a gong at the Bafta TV awards while having to wear her sunglasses.

The beloved actress has died at the age of 52 following a secret battle with cancer, with tributes pouring in from across the entertainment industry.

Following the sad news, journalist Michael Gravesande has shared the hilarious clip of Helen at the 2019 ceremony, in which she gave out the award for leading actor.

To read the autocue, she intended on wearing a pair of reading glasses, but somehow forgot to bring them with her, and instead brought a dark pair of shades instead.

Despite this, Helen soldiered on and presented the award in true style.

She began: ‘It’s always an honour to present this evening, which is why you’d think I’d remember my right glasses, but I haven’t ladies and gentlemen.’

As she then puts the sunglasses on, she continued: ‘So excuse me, while I read the autocue.

‘It is hard to imagine a field stronger than the leading actor category this year.’

He added: ‘Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.’

The Bafta Twitter account has also paid tribute, as they said: ‘We’re sad to hear of the death of actor Helen McCrory. As well as fearless Polly Gray in BAFTA-winning Peaky Blinders, she was in 2007 Best Film BAFTA winner The Queen, amongst many other films and TV shows.’
