WATCH: When Jake Paul Faked a “$300,000 Life Changing Surgery” On YouTube
In today’s boxing world, Jake Paul is no less than a brand. Past few months, he’s etched every boxing fan’s mind with his unusual antics in and outside the game.
Prior to making his first walk to the boxing ring, Paul already had cosmic fame through his YouTube channel. In 2019, ‘The Problem Child’ staggered his subscribers and vast fanbase by posting a video of surgery worth $300,000.
In this video, Paul asserted he saw a rapper on Instagram who had an auto-tune implant. Seeking inspiration from him, the young gun decided to implant a camera on his left forearm to shoot for his primal vlogs and other content.
He even filmed the entire process of this surgery and took it to his official YouTube handle.
In the video posted above, Paul showed the entire surgery, concluding with showing off the actual implanted camera of his forearm. At the end of this video, Paul even shot for a footage with this implanted camera.
But right after this video went viral, the 24-year-old was on the receiving end of huge backlash coming from fans and fellow YouTubers.
Many claimed that this surgery was fake and something like this isn’t technically possible. A fellow YouTuber CallMeMing even added that there was no blood coming out of Paul’s arms after such a gigantic surgery.
Moving on, Paul is now only looking to solidify his run in the boxing world rather than prioritizing anything. He will touch gloves with his long-time foe, Ben Askren, on April 17.
Jake Paul – the boxing hotshot
‘The Problem Child’ only has 2 wins under his wing. Despite that, he has hooked in millions of fans and is looking forward to fighting the bigwigs of the game.
This weekend he’ll take on an experienced fighter from the combat sports world for the very first time in his pro boxing career.
That said, this fight holds mammoth responsibilities for Paul to prove his mettle to one and all. If he claims a win on Saturday night, needless to say, he will make a huge statement in the fight world.
It’ll be interesting to see how he fares in this test of his boxing career.
