Naomi Osaka Goes a Step Further With Serena Williams’ Husband’s Idea, Launches Her Own NFT Art

Japanese tennis superstar Naomi Osaka needs no introduction. She has won fans over by producing scintillating tennis in the past few years. In a short span of time, the youngster has earned a fair amount of success in the sport. Off the tennis courts too, the 23-year-old has made a name for herself.

In recent developments, Naomi Osaka has entered the NFT space. She, along with her sister, is set to reveal a fashionable set of NFT art pieces on Basic Space. The collection is titled, “The Colors of Naomi Osaka” and displays amazing work of art by her sister, Mari. Its detailing is based on Naomi’s personality.

The Japanese starlet spoke on this new venture and stated, “As lovers, creators, and curators of art since we were young, Mari and I are very excited to formally enter the world of art through NFTs. We hope that these one-of-a-kind pieces of art and the charitable aspect of the raffle will inspire people to dream big and to do better in the world.”

The earnings of the artwork will be used for Naomi Osaka’s charity organization

The pieces of art will be auctioned and the earnings will proceed towards Naomi’s charity, The Play Academy.

The four-time Grand Slam winner further added, “I wanted to do things a little bit differently than the norm and make it more personal, which is why I asked my sister to create the pieces with me and offer something unique and special to fans and collectors from around the world, art that represents who we are and what we stand for.”

Coming to tennis, Osaka won her second Australian Open title this season in Melbourne. After that, she was seen in Miami but unfortunately saw her 23-match winning streak come to an end there.

As the focus of the season has shifted to the clay-court events, it’ll be interesting to see how the Japanese athlete performs. She will feature in events prior to Roland Garros
