Katie Price looked absolutely terrified as she received her first dose of the coronavirus vaccine on Friday.

The mum-of-five documented the moment she was given the jab, sharing a video of her appointment on social media.

Taking to Instagram, the 42-year-old seemed nervous as a staff member approached with the needle, with the injection taking just seconds.

‘Be brave,’ someone behind the scenes instructed, giving her a countdown before she grinned for the camera, donning a face shield.

‘Finally had my 1st Covid and I hate needles but it actually was over before I could start playing up,’ she wrote alongside the footage.

Katie is among the many celebrities who have received their coronavirus vaccines, and shared the procedure on social media.

Piers Morgan, Shirley Ballas and Sir David Attenborough are just a few of those who have gone under the needle amid the global health scare.

Katie’s post comes after she opened up about her mum’s battle with a terminal lung condition, stating that she ‘hasn’t got long left’.

Amy was diagnosed with an incurable idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2017, which means the lungs become scarred and breathing becomes increasingly difficult.

The pair recently took part in a film on Steph’s Packed Lunch, detailing her illness.

‘My mum is my absolute rock, my absolute best friend and to be told she’s got an incurable breathing disease breaks my heart,’ the I’m A Celebrity star sad.

‘Sadly, she hasn’t got long left to live.’

In the clip, she continued: ‘My mum’s pretty strong, she’s accepted it but she’s not one of these people who will dwell on it, even though I know it’s on your mind.’

‘I haven’t given up yet,’ Amy insisted. ‘I’ve got to accept the fact that I know I’m going to deteriorate.’
