Ben Askren Reveals a Surprise Name Who Offered to Walk Him Out Before the Fight

Ben Askren taking on Jake Paul is one of the unlikeliest matchups that combat fans thought could take place. However, it is fight night, and the event is on track to be a mega-event with boxing and entertainment intertwined. The fight card will see performances from the likes of Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, and other celebrities.

Also in attendance covering the event will be rapper Snoop Dogg, supermodel Taylor Hill and TikTok behemoths Dixie and Charli D’Amelio. With all these big names involved in the fight, a controversial rapper offered to walk Ben Askren out for his fight as seen from the latest clip on his Instagram.

Ben Askren says, “This dude named six-x-nine wants to walk me out tomorrow”. Teammate and friend Tyron Woodley, who will be in his corner tonight, swiftly responded, saying, “F**k no, Tekashi six-nine wanna walk you out? You go viral as f**k. It don’t really matter to you though”

Has Ben Askren Taken sufficient time off from his hip surgery before getting into the ring?

Following his loss to Demian Maia, in October 2019, Ben Askren hung up his gloves from MMA once again. In 2020, ‘Funky’ underwent hip replacement surgery to undo the years of damage that combat sports at the highest level had done to his hips.

Askren admitted that he took the fight immediately after his hip replacement surgery and got into training as soon as he could. Considering his age and the complexity of the surgery, there is a chance that ‘Funky’ might have rushed into the fight sooner than he should have without taking the adequate rest needed.

Askren steps in against potentially his least experienced opponent to date and will receive the biggest payday of his career against Jake Paul. It will be interesting to see how well Askren has recovered from the surgery. And if he has recovered well enough to move fluidly inside the ring to avoid the haymakers coming his way from Paul.

Do you think Askren rushed into accepting the fight? Should he have waited longer to recover? Let us know in the comments below!
