UFC heavyweights Andrei Arlovski vs Chase Sherman assume the position of the co-main event following the removal of Stephens vs Klose. What’s more, the cancelation is a huge disappointment, especially after seeing the explosive stare down. Things got rather heated as both fighters faced off making for a potential ‘Fight of the Night’ candidate.

The fight card is headlined by Robert Whittaker vs Kelvin Gastelum and this bout is sure to draw in many eyeballs. However, the rest of the card leaves something to be desired in terms of name value. Jeremy Stephens vs Drakkar Klose certainly fit the bill of name-value fighters, however, it wasn’t to be.

‘Lil Heathen’ was looking to make a much need statement against Klose after going 0-4-1 in his last five fights. Chiefly, his UFC run was somewhat in jeopardy with another loss, however, his guts and glory style is definitely fan-friendly. Moreover, Stephens moving up from featherweight to lightweight was also one under the radar narrative heading into the fight.
Drakkar Klose is coming off a loss to Beneil Dariush from all the way back in March 2020. Prior to his KO defeat, he was on a three-fight unanimous decision streak with some solid performances under this belt. However, fans have witnessed a dip in his activity rate and this is something he’ll be looking to pick back up.
Fans will be hoping that Drakkar Klose receives the required medical attention and the fight can be rebooked. Both men are vying to get at each other and after their explosive face-off, they definitely need to square off. However, as it stands, the fight card will proceed with 10 fights on the preliminary and main card.
