Holly Willoughby missing for another week from This Morning for ‘secret project’
Holly Willoughby is taking an extended break from This Morning in order to work on a new project away from the daytime show.
The TV presenter, who has been hosting alongside Phillip Schofield since 2009, shared the new update on Instagram for those who were excited to see her return to work on Monday.
With her son Chester, six, jumping on her back as she lies on the grass writing in a notebook, Holly is seen beaming and wrote: ‘Vitamin D, caffeine and a side order of distraction from Chester.
‘Working on something else next week which I can’t wait to share with you all…’
She then confirmed who will be filling in her spot and added: ‘Thank you to the lovely [Rochelle Humes] for keeping my side of the sofa warm… x.’
Rochelle was among those to leave her a message, simply saying ‘got you’ next to a heart and a kissing emoji.
Holly and Phillip have been away for the past fortnight as part of her typical Easter holiday break.
Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, who until this year had a regular spot on Friday mornings, returned to the series for the first week.
Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond took over for the second.
It’s not known what Holly’s second project currently is, but we’re excited to see what she’s coming up with.
As well as This Morning, Holly regularly hosts Dancing On Ice with Phillip, and in 2019 joined forces with Bradley Walsh for BBC series, Take Off.
The show, a competition for families to earn their dream getaway, was recommissioned for a second series in 2020 – but was halted due to coronavirus.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
