WWE Legend Ric Flair Officiates a Bizarre Slap Fight on Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren Undercard

The Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren event is finally upon us after weeks of criticism and excitement. Many fans questioned the PPV and the involvement of Triller, and the way the event started only added to these criticisms. Triller announced there would be several other entertainment events on the PPV. However, no one foresaw WWE legend Ric Flair hosting a slap fight on the undercard.

While there were several other surprising fights and names on the undercard, this one took fans by surprise.

The former WWE wrestler joined Pete Davidson and hosted a slap fight between two professional slap fight athletes in a cage. Flair showed his trademark excitement as he urged both athletes to go at it. Ultimately, there could only be one winner. However, Flair seemed to have enjoyed the contest.

The slap fight that Ric Flair officiated was one of the many other entertainment pieces on the PPV card. The event had multiple music performances, including a rap group that comprised some of the most famous rappers in the game. While several others also performed on the night.

Ric Flair refereeing a slap fight on the Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren card will draw backlash

These aspects showed the Triller card was far from a traditional boxing event. After the first three events, the PPV viewing started with the music performances, and then Flair held the slap fight. Fans on Twitter have already shown their distaste for the event they witnessed.

Triller claimed they want to revolutionize the fight game, and clearly, this is the model they will follow. However, they will need to brace themselves for a serious backlash from boxing purists given the drastic change from a traditional boxing event.
