AJ Tracey has announced an official UK and Ireland tour after attracting huge crowds with surprise appearances in Manchester and Birmingham.

Tweeting on Monday afternoon, the 27-year-old said: ‘I told you i’d be back. ARENA TOUR this time no likkle shows who’s ready to go mad?! [sic]’

Tickets will be available for pre-sale from Wednesday, April 21, before the general sale kicks off on Friday, April 23.

The star’s Flu Game Tour is set to support material from his latest album of the same name.

Shows will kick off from November 13 at Dublin’s 3 Arena before culminating on November 25 at London’s O2 Arena.

This comes after the Ladbroke Grove rapper celebrated the release of his latest album, Flu Game, with a mini-tour across the UK.

However, he didn’t expect such large numbers to show at the Birmingham and Manchester venues over the weekend.

Photos of the meet-ups showed vast groups of fans gathered at Platt Fields Car Park in Manchester with little social distancing.

Several police officers were seen arriving on-scene and attempting to control the crowds.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘At around 2.50pm today (Sunday April 18 2021), officers were called to reports of a large gathering at Platt Fields Park on Wilmslow Road Manchester.

‘Enquiries established that a music event was being held at the location. Officers attended and attempted to engage with individuals and ensure the safety of those present.

‘People have now dispersed, and the organiser of this gathering has been issued with a £10k Fixed Penalty Notice.’

Meanwhile, AJ’s Flu Game follows on from the success of his 2019 self-titled debut album, which reached number three on the UK charts.

The rapper has received three nominations at this year’s upcoming Brit Awards, for British male solo artist and two nods for British single with the songs Rain and Ain’t It Different.
