Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes Says Team Hasn’t Made Decision on Attending Voluntary Off-Season Program

Patrick Mahomes is one of the best QBs in football. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has shown both his physical and mental prowess over the last few seasons.

To be able to accomplish what Mahomes has in his young career, he needs to be a great leader more than just talented. And Mahomes is just that.

He has great camaraderie with his teammates and makes them feel equal to him whenever a decision is to be made. However, the Chiefs are yet to make one important decision.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes delivered a press conference earlier today. He talked about the Chiefs reluctance to confirm their attendance for the voluntary off-season program.

There are a lot of challenges in the way, and Chiefs players are trying to come to a decision sooner rather than later. They are in constant communication with the NFL’s Player’s Association.

“Obviously it’s virtual right now, so we still have a little bit of time to think about it and figure out what’s the best plan for us as a team.

“But we’re in talks with the NFLPA, and we’re trying to figure out what’s best not only for us but for the entire league. And I know coming into the building today and having to sit and wait for test results to get back in.”

Mahomes added that the testing process will only get tougher as more players begin to return to the facility. He added that things will get a lot crazier going forward.

This is why Chiefs players are trying to work towards a quick solution. However, Mahomes did not clarify the date of resolution but said that they will make a decision in the coming weeks.

“And we only have a couple people here today. I know it’s going to be crazy once we get the whole roster here. So trying to figure out what’s best for not only myself, not only the Chiefs but what’s best for the teams around the league.

“We’ll figure it out in the next couple of weeks and we’ll be able to get back to you then.”(h:t- PFT)

Will the Kansas City Chiefs attend the voluntary off-season program? Most teams across the NFL have agreed to return, so as to prepare for the new season.

However, the Chiefs have some doubts about returning. Hopefully, they can come to a solution soon enough.
