Dani Dyer ‘standing by’ boyfriend Sammy Kimmence as he faces prison after admitting to defrauding pensioners
Dani Dyer has vowed to ‘stand by’ her boyfriend Sammy Kimmence after he pleaded guilty to defrauding pensioners, it has been claimed.
Kimmence, 25, admitted to five charges of fraud at Portsmouth Crown Court. He has been granted conditional bail, and was told by a judge that he could be sent to prison when he is sentenced on June 11.
Following today’s court proceedings, a rep for Dani has told The Sun that the couple are ‘still together’.
A source added: ‘She’s vowed to stand by him, he’s the father of her baby.’
Dani and Sammy welcomed their first child together, son Santiago, in January. They’ve been dating for nearly two years after rekindling their romance in May 2019. The pair were in a relationship before she entered the Love Island villa in 2018 but reconciled after she and ex-boyfriend Jack Fincham split.
On Monday, the court heard that Kimmence took money from two men aged 90 and 80 between 2016 and 2018. He claimed he would invest the money through his company S&S Trading Ltd but did not do so.
Four counts were for fraud against Peter Martin totaling nearly £26,000 and a fifth count totaling £7,927 against Peter Haynes. Martin has since died.
Kimmence’s defence Craig Harris told the court his client is ‘seeking to reimburse the losses he has caused’.
Harris said: ‘He is a relatively young man of previous good character, the offences go back into his late teenage years.
‘This is a case that crosses the custodial threshold but might be within a range which I argue could be suspended.
‘Quite a lot has gone into this young man’s life in the last few years. He is seeking to reimburse the losses he has caused.’
The judge, Recorder Nicholas Haggan QC, then warned: ‘The fact I am granting you bail affords no indication as to what the sentence will be – you are at risk of a custodial sentence.’
