Francis Ngannou Reveals Date for UFC Comeback in 2021

Being a UFC Champion makes life very busy. Take Francis Ngannou, for example. The newly crowned UFC Heavyweight Champion of the world is constantly giving interviews and cheering his friends on from the sidelines. He does all this while training and, of course, fighting.

He went Live on Instagram to talk about a lot of things like Kamaru Usman’s Welterweight title fight against Jorge Masvidal, his next opponent, and to announce that he’ll be taking some time off. The video was reposted by FightHub TV on their YouTube channel.

He said that he would be supporting his brother Kamaru Usman from the side of the octagon. “After that, I’ll try to take some time off. I don’t know what would be next after I go back home,” he said.

He added that he didn’t have any solid plans for the future. “Maybe, just come back, I’ll start training, waiting for the UFC to see what they are cooking. I don’t know what’s going on but just gonna be here. Wait and see,” Ngannou said.

He also talked about his next fight and added that it wasn’t fixed yet. His opponent might not have been fixed, but Ngannou added that he plans a comeback in August.

“At least that’s what I expected. August. Who? Don’t know. Jon Jones? Don’t know. Derrick Lewis? I don’t know,” he declared.

Ngannou added that he would like to fight Jon Jones because it will be a big fight. “The Jon Jones fight is most likely the one that I would prefer because it gonna be (a) big fight,” he said.

He concluded by saying that Jon Jones is one of the greatest martial artists in the history of the UFC. Ngannou further complimented Jones and called him the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC. A fight between Jones and Ngannou is surely the biggest fight that the UFC can make right now.
