Get to Know All the Records Stewart Cink Achieved With RBC Heritage 2021 Victory

Stewart Cink played some tremendous golf and claimed the title at RBC Heritage 2021. The veteran did not succumb to the final round jitters and came out on top at Harbour Town. Cink’s RBC Heritage triumph brought up his second win of the season and the 47-year-old also set several records with his performance.

Bryson DeChambeau and Stewart Cink are currently the only two-time winners in the ongoing 2020-21 PGA Tour season. Cink won his first at the Safeway Open and followed it up with a victory at RBC Heritage 2021.

There were some crazy numbers and stats on display when Stewart Cink headed into the final round at RBC Heritage as the 54-hole leader. For starters, Cink was paired with a player (Collin Morikawa), who was born the year he won his first-ever PGA Tour title (1997).

Stewart Cink defies the age barrier and joins history books with Heritage victory

Stewart Cink brought up his third RBC Heritage victory by winning at Harbour Town in 2021. No player has ever won three titles at Harbour Town except Davis Love and Hale Irwin, and Cink joined this special list with his win.

Furthermore, Cink is also the second oldest player to clinch the RBC Heritage crown. He won the event aged 47 years, 10 months, 28 days and finished behind 1994 winner Hale Irwin, who won it aged 48 years, 10 months, and 14 days.

Another record about Cink’s age: The Alabama native became just the fourth tour pro aged 47 or more to win multiple titles in a single season. He joined the likes of Sam Snead, Julius Boros, and Kenny Perry (twice) in this record.

The RBC Heritage 2021 was Cink’s 610th start on the PGA Tour. After winning the tournament, Stewart Cink became the 10th player to win an event after making more than 600 starts. A stat that denotes his incredible longevity.

These are indeed amazing records to behold. Stewart Cink went on a scoring spree at Harbour Town and broke the tournament’s 36-hole and 54-hole records as well. Such a strong performance only raises the expectations ahead of the rest of the season.
