Michael B Jordan thinking about his legacy after Chadwick Boseman’s death: ‘I know time is limited’

Michael B Jordan has been thinking about how he would like to be remembered following the death of his friend Chadwick Boseman.

He already holds People magazine’s ‘sexiest man alive’ crown, but as he causes more ripples in these beach shots, Michael says the loss of his Black Panther co-star last year has left him thinking about ‘legacy’.

The 34-year-old said: ‘What I leave behind is something that I think about a lot. This past year has brought a lot of that to the forefront of my brain. Everybody’s had their share of loss in one way or another. I lost a friend in Chadwick. There are a lot of things that I want to accomplish, and I know time is limited and life is short. I try to not take it for granted.’

But in the same (underwater) breath, Michael told Men’s Health that doesn’t mean he cares about what people think.

‘For all the success I’ve had, there are going to be negative reactions and opinions thrown at me,’ he said.

‘But as I’ve gotten older and a little more mature and more comfortable in my own skin, I’ve become much less concerned about it.’

More Guilty Pleasures…

No tracks and Tracey

AJ Tracey was forced to bin a gig in Bristol after police slapped the organisers of his previous outing with a £10,000 fine.

Social media video showed hundreds of fans turning up for the Brit nominee’s outdoor set in Manchester’s Platt Fields Park on Sunday. Police said it was in breach of Covid rules as only six people are allowed to meet outdoors.

The Ladbroke Grove star, who had already staged a similar show in Birmingham, was next due to play Bristol when he pulled the plug, telling fans he hadn’t expected hordes of fans to turn up in Manchester.

After the fine was issued, the 27-year-old rapper told Bristol fans in a Twitter video: ‘Big love Manny and Brum. Thank you for coming out. It’s not gonna be safe for me to come to Bristol.

‘I didn’t expect that many people to turn up in Manny and genuinely it’s just not OK for me to go ahead.’

Commenting on the five-figure fixed penalty notice, Greater Manchester Police’s Supt Caroline Hemingway told BBC Newsbeat: ‘We are still very much in the midst of a public health crisis and it remains as important as ever to abide by the Covid-19 legislation.’

The punishment puts a major road block in AJ’s pre-Brits promo work for new album Flu Game. He is up for a hat-trick at next month’s music bash, including best male and two shots at best single.

Victoria smiles through the tiers

Victoria Beckham seemed at a total loss as to what to do with a five-tiered birthday cake, presented as her husband took her clubbing in Miami.

Posh, who was celebrating turning 47, posted a video of the calorific mound, decorated with sparklers.

Meanwhile, could it be Becks-it? Posh and Becks have splurged millions on a penthouse in the city, home to his team Inter Miami, and she said: ‘I love this place.’

Florida is home to son Brooklyn’s fiancée Nicola Peltz, and they have already played host to her billionaire dad Nelson and his family.

Lizzo’s privates messaging…

Chris Evans poked fun at his own X-rated blunder when he responded to Lizzo’s confession that she had sent him flirty messages while drunk.

The Captain America star, 39, accidentally posted a willy pic on to Instagram last year. And after the 32-year-old Juice singer admitted to her cheeky DMs, she shared his response.

It read: ‘No shame in a drunk DM [face-throwing-a-kiss emoji] god knows I’ve done worse on this app lol [facepalm emoji].’

Partying in Oz… it’s Rita Thor-a

THOR… she makes some famous friends! Rita Ora has made it into Hollywood’s A-list after Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth took her on holiday in Australia.

The British pop star showed off snaps of herself in a green bikini after she flew to Byron Bay with the two superstars and Elsa Pataky, wife of 37-year-old Thor star Chris.

The group were seen getting off a private jet in Sydney following the starry getaway. Rita, 30, has been in Oz to appear on The Voice.

This Charming Man? Not on Simpsons

Morrisey is fuming about being portrayed on The Simpsons as a fat, washed-up singer.

The Smiths frontman, 61, hit out over the episode Panic On The Streets Of Springfield, featuring ‘a depressed British singer from the 1980s’. He was most offended that the character, voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, was racist.

A rant on the Morrissey Facebook page complained about ‘the Morrissey character with his belly hanging out of his shirt (when he has never looked like that at any point in his career)’.

He added it was even worse that the character was called out for being a racist ‘without any specific instances.’

Simpsons writer Tim Long insisted the singer was ‘Morrissey-esque’.

Fans still clamour for Grammar

London Grammar didn’t have to worry about fans forgetting them after a four-year break. The trio’s comeback album Californian Soil is outselling the entire top five this week as it heads to No.1, followed by AJ Tracey’s Flu Game — despite his gig troubles.
