“Unconditional Love”: Ashleigh barty and Venus Williams Celebrate Pet Day

There are quite a lot of players on tour who have an inclination towards animals and birds. Many of them even have their own pets and recently celebrated National Pet Day which was on April 11, 2021. One of them is the 7-time Grand Slam winner Venus Williams.

Venus Williams shared a picture of herself with her dog Harry on her Instagram handle on the occasion of National Pet Day. He’s a really cute dog and interestingly, is 14-years-old right now. The American legend also shared a picture of Harry with Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia.

“It’s national pet day and he’s been my puppet for 14 years. I love my Harry! (Harrold when he’s in trouble),” wrote Venus in the Instagram caption.

The age of the dog surprised Serena Williams as well and she even asked if he is really 14-years-old in the comment’s section. Looking at Harry, it is really quite shocking to know that he could be that old.

“Wow he’s 14???” asked the former World No.1.

Fans can also sense how small Harry is as he comfortably fits inside the training bag of Williams. It is also evident that she often takes him to her practice sessions as well.

There are other players too who just love to spend some quality time with their pets off the court. One of them is World No.1 Ashleigh Barty who also posted a picture with her dog on her Instagram handle.

Except for these two, Daria Gavrilova, Caroline Wozniacki, Johanna Konta, Amanda Anisimova, Monica Puig, and Elise Mertens are also proud pet owners.

After winning the Miami Open 2021, Barty will begin her clay-court campaign soon. Will the Australian be able to win yet another French Open title this year?
