WATCH: Tyron Woodley Gets Into a Heated Verbal Altercation with Jake Paul’s Teammate

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley got into a rather contentious run-in with one of Jake Paul’s teammates. Chiefly, Woodley was present in the corner of Ben Askren as he took on Jake Paul in the main event for Triller’s show. Prior to the boxing bout, Woodley could be seen in Jake Paul’s locker room where he got into a verbal altercation.

Woodley squared off against former professional J’Leon Love from the Super Middleweight division, who is a part of Paul’s entourage. The two went back and forth and engaged in a spirited exchange where both men boasted on their laurels. J’Leon Love was quick to bring up Woodley’s recent UFC skid and ‘The Chosen One’ fired back.

It’s no surprise that someone from Ben Askren’s team would get into a dust-up given the sheer size of Jake Paul’s entourage. Throughout fight week, Paul and his team have been moving around in large numbers and a run-in was bound to happen. It’s very likely that Tyron Woodley could now be gunning with a fight with either Paul or Love to avenge Askren’s defeat.

Jake Paul vs Ben Askren: Fight rewind

Triller Fight Club brought forth Paul vs Askren to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Atlanta, and the world was watching. With Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, The Black Keys and others performing the event was a showcase in every sense of the word. What’s more, the main event delivered in a massive way as Jake Paul came out on top with a knockout.

‘The Problem Child’ extended his professional record to 3-0 and has now scalped a win over a former MMA fighter. Paul showcased his power and technical prowess as he landed a perfect right hand that sent Askren to the canvas. ‘Funky’ Ben couldn’t recover in time and the referee had no choice but to wave off the contest.

With a win over Ben Askren, Jake Paul now has a laundry list of fighters apart from Tyron Woodley. Paul has his eyes on Dillon Danis and Conor McGregor, among others in order to further legitimize himself in the realm of boxing.
