Xbox Cloud Gaming beta arrives in PC and iOS devices

In a new blog post on their website, Catherine Gluckstein, the Vice President & Head of Product at Project xCloud revealed the company’s intentions to expand cloud gaming technology. The blog states that Project xCloud will officially arrive on PC and iOS users tomorrow. Players can use this service via browsers like Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari.

Microsoft also revealed that users can only use this service if they were part of the select group of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users. The company will send these invites starting tomorrow, and then players can play their favorite games on any Windows PC and Apple iPhones or iPads. They will also ask for feedback from these users to improve upon the service before it eventually releases worldwide.

How to use xCloud services?

Invited players on Windows PC and iOS devices can try this tech by accessing it here. These invites will only go to players from the 22 supported countries. Using this website, fans can select over 100 titles from the Xbox games library. These include games like Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4, GTA V, Halo 5: Guardians, and many more. They can play their favorite titles with any Bluetooth or USB-connected controller. Other than that, they can also use on-screen touch controls for about 50 titles from the list.

The post also revealed their plans, which is to make this feature accessible for all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in the coming months. This will allow them to test more to improve the features and add more support for more devices. With the service released for Android last year, this is the first time iOS users will get to try xCloud. As time progresses more users will get to use it before it eventually comes out of beta and they release it for everyone.
