‘I Like that Fight a Lot’- Miesha Tate Shares Her Views on the Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira Fight

Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira are all set to face each other at the UFC 262 main event. This fight is amongst the most anticipated fights of the year.

Many fans and critics have shared their views on the same and now former UFC Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate has offered her two cents on the same.

During a recent interview, Tate said, “I like that fight a lot, yeah Michael Chandler man way to burst on the scene. I mean he was incredible in his last fight and obviously I think we knew he was capable of it.”

Chandler’s performance in his last fight was exceptional, and it clearly impressed ‘Cupcake’, so much so that she couldn’t stop praising him. “It’s another thing to be capable and to deliver, and the way that he delivered with such a statement.

“It took away any questions I think that we could have about how can he do under that pressure in those lights.”

Chandler won his last 3 MMA fights via 1st-round knockouts and has proved to everybody that he is the next big thing. ‘Iron’ is #4 in the UFC Lightweight rankings and if he wins the fight, it could very well set him up for a legitimate shot at the title.

Is Miesha Tate a fan of Charles Oliveira?

Michael Chandler is coming into the fight on the back of a brilliant victory, but his opponent has been in even better form. Oliviera has won his last 8 UFC fights with his latest victory coming against Tony Ferguson.

Tate knows that and talks about how Oliviera would do in the fight, “So Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira, Charles got that really slick ground game. He’ll be the guy that’s not afraid to go to the ground right and kind of elusive on the feet.”

While Tate is a fan of both fighters and did not choose a favorite for the match, she admitted that she was favoring Chandler to take the win.

“I always like to go back and watch film before I like give a solid breakdown. But maybe like an early pick right now, I’m kind of liking Michael chandler in this fight. But I’m a huge fan of Charles Oliveira.”
