Bob Arum Confirms a Site For Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury Clash
The only fight that lures the boxing fans today is the epic encounter between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. After much rigmarole and discussions, the collision between the British pair is finally official. However, a news piece pertaining to its tentative locations and dates isn’t out, but, recently, Fury’s USA promoter, Bob Arum, spilled the beans on the viable location for this bout.
Speaking to Boxing Scene, he said, “We have (site deal) contracts now that we are marking up and so forth. It’s a big step. We’re just doing the paperwork now with the Saudis.”
The Top Rank boss asserted that this undisputed heavyweight war will take place in a new indoor stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The official paperwork and formalities are yet to be done, but for now, this location tops the contention.
“It’s going to have to be within the next 10 days, maybe two weeks,” Arum said. “It’s a massive economic deal,” he added.
The matchup between Joshua and Fury was in discussions for a long time. But the duo had several opponents ahead of them whom they had to vanquish in order to touch gloves with each other.
Both Joshua and Fury are in their sheer prime, and this might just be the perfect setting for the pair to collide with each other.
