Bridgerton fan-girl Kim Kardashian is now an honorary Duchess as new BFF Nicola Coughlan gives her the perfect title
Kim Kardashian has been given her Bridgerton title by Lady Whistledown herself so now we’ll all have to address her as Duchess Kardashian of Calabasas.
The Bridgerton fangirl has struck up a friendship with the show’s star Nicola Coughlan (who plays Penelope Featherington in the Netflix series) this week and their interaction has fans giddy with excitement for a potential Kardashian cameo in season two.
For those who missed her posts, the reality star became one of the millions who binged the hit Netflix series following its release on Christmas Day.
So Derry Girls star Nicola felt it was best to inform the Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star that her reality TV family helped inspire the costumes for the Featherington sisters on the program.
In true Kim K style, the mother-of-four immediately tried to get involved with the fashion for the sequel series as she asked: ‘Can I please come to a fitting?!?! It would make my whole life!!!!!! I love you Lady W!!!’
Nicola instantly replied: ‘Omg yesss of course we would love to have you!’
The Irish actress then revealed a fun fact about how they were already connected as she added: ‘Also did you know that Mr Pearl made your corset for the Met Gala and the very next one he made was mine for Bridgerton? You’ve been part of the Bridgerton world for longer than you know!’
‘OMG I’m gonna faint!!!!!! Does this make me an honorary Duchess in Bridgerton ?!?!?!? I am the corset Queen!!!’ a clearly excited Kim replied.
At which point, Nicola got her Lady Whistledown on and stated: ‘Why of course, Duchess Kardashian of Calabasas! Lady Whistledown is happy to declare you the season’s true incomparable.’
Naturally, Kim was thrilled with her title as she tweeted: ‘I will wear this title proudly and not let you down Lady Whistledown!’
We don’t know about you but we’re so ready for Duchess Kardashian to join the Featherington’s for a spot of afternoon tea when the Netflix series returns to our screens.
Bridgerton is available to watch now on Netflix.
