Loose Women star Judi Love ‘empty’ as her father dies: ‘I tried to get to you dad’

Judi Love has announced that her beloved dad has died. 

The Loose Women star shared the news with her Instagram followers on Wednesday with a throwback photo of her posing happily next to her father. 

She wrote in the caption: ‘I feel empty and heartbroken for many reasons 💔🙏🏾 RIP Dad 😢.

‘These last few weeks I tried to make you comfortable, I tried to get to you dad, I really did. Rest Well 🕊.’ 

A cause of death has not been revealed. 

Judi received messages of support from her celebrity pals passing on their condolences, including  This Morning host Ruth Langsford who said: ‘So sorry Judi…condolences to you and your family. Sending you the biggest hug ❤️.’ 

Radio 1 presenter Rickie Haywood-Williams said: ‘Sending you and your family Love and Light Judi.’ 

Rapper Tinie Tempah commented: ‘Condolences 💔.’ 

Comedian Dane Baptiste added: ‘Love and light to him. My condolences. Dad is at peace now Judi and we are here for you xx.’ 

Nicola McClean said: ‘Sorry to hear that ❤️,’ while Scarlett Moffatt left a heart emoji. 

Trisha Goddard wrote: ‘So sorry for you lose, Judy. Sending love.❤️❤️.’ 

Comedian Michael Dapaah who wrote: ‘My deepest condolences Judi ❤️❤️❤️.’

Russell Kane added: ‘Babe. All our love here Xx.’ 

Stacey Dooley, who works with Judi on the BBC One reality series This Is My House, left a heart emoji under the post. 

Judi, 40, has previously opened up about the death of her mother in 2009 following a battle with dementia. 

The TV star recalled tearfully in February 2020: ‘The spirit of the person is gone and you’ve got the shell. As a carer, I can’t even explain the emotional [impact]. It’s so draining.

‘I remember one time I was with my mum, she just didn’t know who I was. I went to my friends house, and I went to the kitchen and I just screamed and cried and cried.

‘I can’t explain seeing someone you’ve grown with or you’ve loved and they’re gone, they’re absolutely gone.’
