‘Never Made an Illegal Bet’- Dana White Responds to Snoop Dogg’s Money Claims
UFC head honcho Dana White suggested he would wager a million dollars on Ben Askren to beat Jake Paul as the duo squared off inside the boxing ring in the main event of the Triller fight card last weekend. However, ‘The Problem Child’ knocked out the former UFC fighter in the bout’s opening round.
Subsequently, the event’s commentator Snoop Dogg claimed White owed him and Paul $2 million, but White dismissed those claims as he denied making any legal bet with the rapper or the celebrity boxer. “Don’t even want to say what I think happened in that fight. I can tell you this. I don’t owe Snoop two million dollars,” said White.
“Let me make it clear right here to everybody. I have never made an illegal bet, ever. I did not make an illegal bet on Saturday night. I did not bet two million dollars with Snoop or anybody,” added the UFC President.
“Javier Mendez called. He’s the head coach at AKA. He said, ‘these guys from Triller called and want to take that bet for two million dollars.’ It’s f**king illegal! First of all, I’m not going to make an illegal bet, for one, For two, why would I bet them a million or two million dollars when I can do it legally in Las Vegas at 2/1?” he said.
One can expect Paul to further build on his antics even more as he has now defeated ‘Funky’. It will also be interesting to see his response to the UFC President.

When Dana White claimed he will bet a million dollars for Jake Paul to lose
White appeared on the Hotboxin’ Podcast alongside Mike Tyson and Zab Judah and claimed Paul can’t actually fight. He doubled down on his claim of ‘The Problem Child‘ losing by referring to Askren’s experience as a combat sports athlete and the fact that ‘Funky‘ has actually fought legit opponents in his career.
Obviously, those words didn’t age very well. But considering Askren’s level of striking on display throughout his three-fight UFC career, he should have actually given his opinions a second thought.
