Prince Charles is said to have left Windsor Castle within a day of Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday, and made the 180-mile trip to his Welsh home.

Locals can be expected to see extra security in the area, and several police and security vehicles were seen patrolling on Tuesday, reports Wales Online.

The main cottage, where Charles stays, is part of Llwynywermod Farm, and there are two other cottages that can be rented out by the public from £550 to £1,200 per night when the royal is not there.

The Duchy of Cornwall purchased the farm in 2007 and then renovated it to be used as a beautiful countryside retreat.

Prince Philip’s funeral took place eight days after his death on April 9, and the Queen cut a lonely figure as she sat alone during the memorial.

Prince Harry was reunited with brother William for two hours at the event— sparking hopes of peace between them.

The brothers joined dad Charles for the first time since Harry and wife Meghan’s Oprah US TV interview threatened to tear the family apart.

Charles had private talks with his warring sons after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral — and insiders say it is just what Philip would have wanted.

The three met up away from the cameras following Saturday’s televised service.

They remained together for two hours at Windsor Castle as they mingled with family members on its Quadrangle.

It comes as the relationship between Harry and his father and brother was described as being “very, very, raw”, according to a report.

The Duke of Sussex is said to have written Prince Charles a “deeply personal” note before arriving back in the UK.

Due to Harry’s alleged “tight schedule” he has returned back to the US to see his wife Meghan Markle.

Philip’s death came a few months short of his 100th birthday, which was due to be the focus of royal celebrations this year.

After 73 years of married life, the Queen reigns alone without the support of her “strength and stay”, as she famously described her late husband.

We shared how Harry ‘promised to “respect the institution” in letter to Charles’.
