Raikkonen responded, “No no thanks I hope I could take all the credit from the doctors that did the job but, if the racing helps that’s a great thing.”
The fan also mentioned that he was having a heart attack when they were racing in Brazil, to which Kimi replied, “Ah so maybe I wasn’t that good.”
The Iceman loses on points at Imola due to a time penalty
Raikkonen failed to follow the regulations after the red flag caused by the Russell-Bottas crash. He didn’t enter the pitlane for the restart and hence got a 10-second time penalty.
The Alfa Romeo driver finished the race in 13th place after receiving the penalty and hence didn’t bring any points to the team. His teammate, Giovinazzi came home in 14th place, so the teammate couldn’t manage to score any points at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
The team looks forward to the Portugal Grand Prix which is scheduled at the end of this month. Kimi hopes to learn from his mistakes and redeem himself in the third round of the Formula One season. Do you think the time penalty on The Iceman was too harsh? Lets us know in the comments below.
